Search syntax.
Press / to open Search. Search runs on your device against titles, highlights, topics and transcripts.
Words
Type words. A memo matches if it contains any of them, and memos with more and rarer matches rank higher (BM25). A word in the title counts three times, in highlights or topics twice, and in the transcript once.
Words are matched by a light stemmer that handles plural -s, -ing and -ed, so "calls" finds "call". Letters and numbers are matched without regard to case.
Phrases
Put words in double quotes to require them together and in order: "kitchen budget". Every quoted phrase must appear. An exact phrase also ranks a little higher.
Prefix
The last word you type matches as a prefix while you are still typing. Type reno to find "renovation". Add a space after it to turn the prefix off.
Filters
Filters narrow the results and combine with the query:
- Project
- Topic
- Mood (1 to 5)
- Source (paste, record or upload)
- Date: any time, past week, past month, past year, or a custom range
An empty query lists every memo that passes the filters, newest first. Searches live in the address bar, so you can bookmark them. Date presets such as "past week" stay relative when you reopen the bookmark.
With Supabase sync
When you are signed in, the search runs in Postgres. Only the first 200,000 characters of a transcript are indexed, so words past that point are not found in sync mode.
